Mark Smalley has contributed to the 5th Annual itSMF South East Europe Conference in Belgrade, Serbia on June 1st, 2011 on behalf of the ASL BiSL Foundation.

The conference topic was 'key ITSM drivers for Business success', covering main Service Management concepts, including IT Standardization, IT Governance, Service Excellence and achieving business value in the digital and knowledge-based economy.

In his presentation, 'IT is from Flatland, Business is from Spaceland', Mark Smalley introduced models that contribute to a better understanding beween Business and IT, like Application Services Library (ASL) and Business Information Services Library (BiSL).
