ASL

ASL's goal is the professional development of application management
This is achieved by offering a framework within which the processes of application management are brought in relation to each other. The framework also serves as a steppingstone for categorising best practises that have been developed. In addition to the framework, ASL contains a uniform glossary. By using the terminology contained in this glossary, parties concerned with applications management are in a better position to communicate with each other.

ASL 2
In The Netherlands a new version of ASL has been launched on May 19th 2009. This new version will be translated into English later on this year. For a summary of the differences between ASL and the new version of ASL download this publication: 2008-04 ASL, adapted to the IT-services world of the future

Note: in this article the new version of ASL is called ASL 1.1. Later on, ASL 2 has been chosen as the definite name for the new version.
