Sept 14, 2009: Ballot period for 'ISO 26500' started PDF Print E-mail

The Dutch standard for application management, the NEN 3434:2007, is available since 2007. In 2010 this standard might become a world standard, called 'ISO 26500'.

During the so called 'contradiction period' from August 10 to September 10 all the participating countries in ISO/IEC could review the draft international standard  (DIS) 26500 for application management. The standard is now in the 'ballot period'. During this half year period, countries can vote for the draft standard. If changes are required, the Dutch committee, formed by NEN and members of the working group Standardization of the ASL BiSL Foundation, will formulate proposals for these changes. The final ballot resolution meeting will most probably be held in May 2010. After this meeting we will know if the draft international standard is accepted as 'ISO 26500 for application management'.
