March 7, 2008: ASL and BiSL extend Global Reach PDF Print E-mail
ASL and BiSL are fast becoming increasingly popular around the globe. Recent research (Dimension Data, 2008) surveyed over 370 CIOs from 14 countries across five continents and discovered that 32% of organizations are engaged with the ASL framework, considerably less than ITIL but slightly higher than CMMi, the de facto standard for high quality application development. Because ASL and BiSL are public domain standards, there is no formal registration of the number and scope of implementations but, excluding the Netherlands most interest in ASL and BiSL originates from the United States, Belgium, United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, India, Spain, Canada, France, Italy and more than 50 other countries.
